Engaging The Miracle Power of Kingdom Stewardship-Bishop David Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo
Serving God is a most profitable endeavour (Job 36:11). Our rating in the Kingdom of God is a function of the quality of our stewardship.
What is Kingdom Stewardship?
It is a practical commitment to all forms of Kingdom promotion endeavours. It means being practically committed to the things of God. It is an engagement of your spirit, soul and body. It also means being overly excited about the advancement of the Kingdom and investing in it to prove your commitment. That is what Kingdom stewardship is all about. In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury (Proverbs 14:23).

We can look at stewardship from three perspectives:

Spiritual Stewardship: It is engaging in soul-winning and Kingdom promotion prayers. You can raise a prayer altar for the church in your home; when you do that, you are investing spiritually in advancing the kingdom of God. Every spiritual investment is recorded for returns (Hebrews 6:10).

• Physical Stewardship: This involves taking practical steps to ensure things go well in the church. Your little strength is being engaged in doing one thing or another in the church and for the church.

What do you get from physical stewardship?
Your strength is renewed because you are investing your little strength in God’s Kingdom, so He multiples it back to you.

• Material and Financial Stewardship: Financial stewardship involves putting in your finances in the building of churches as God empowers you. You can purchase vehicles, chairs, musical equipments, generators, decoration material and minister to the needs of others as you are given the opportunity.

We Serve A “Rewarder” God: Recognise that stewardship is a choice, not a gift. Every form of stewardship is highly “rewardable.” God is a “rewarder” of them who diligently seek Him, in whatever area they are involved (Hebrews 11:6).

Examples of Supernatural Breakthroughs through Stewardship:
Job: Job was a businessman and God called him His servant. Job emerged the greatest of all men in his time. Even when he was challenged, he never disconnected. Hence, he was colourfully restored and His star rose.

Daniel: Daniel was a die-hard servant of God. He was unruffled, standing strong for God and turning many to Righteousness.

Paul: Paul was the chief of the Apostles. He was shining forth as a star from the platform of stewardship. He was under an oath to serve and he served to the outermost (1 Corinthians 9:16).

What makes your Stewardship Acceptable to God?
Until stewardship is acceptable, it is not “rewardable”. So, it is important to know what makes your stewardship acceptable.
• Serve God Righteously: Serve God with godliness (Hebrews 12:28).
• Serve God Cheerfully: Whatever you don’t do joyfully cannot be fruitful, because God loves a cheerful giver (Joel 1:11-12).
•Serve God willingly: Stewardship without willingness is not acceptable (1 Corinthians 9:17).
• Serve God Tirelessly: Every reward answers at the end. If you give up before your reward comes, you won’t get it (Galatians 6:9).
• Serve God Fearfully: All of your investments must be from this platform. (Psalm 111:10).
• Serve God Diligently: Be productive, don’t just be present (Proverbs 22:29).

• Serve God Alone: Serving God will only be profitable when you don’t add any other thing alongside your service to God. Because of the pressures of life, a lot of believers seem to get distracted. …thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Luke 4:8).

SEVEN GOSPEL TRUTH ABOUT MONEY- Femi Kehinde

"Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge; and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst" Isaiah 5:13

In summary, the Bible says, my people are poor because of lack of know1edge. My people, in the above scripture are the Christians and the cause of their captivity is not the devil, but lack of knowledge. Knowledge has something to do with material prosperity, affluent and wealth. These seven established gospel truths will establish you in divine wealth.

Finances are important to you and God
Good things around are made available through money. See what the scripture says; "Cry yet, saying, thus saith the Lord of host, my cities through prosperity shall be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem" Zechariah 1:17
If the spread of the gospel is hindered without money, how much more would you need money for the spread of your business? Thus, agree with God that money is important.

Money is not evil in itself
The scripture in I Timothy only asserts that; "The love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after', they erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" I Timothy 6:10. Thus, money is not evil in itself but the love of money. The scripture clears the throat on it in the mouth of the preacher; feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry but money answereth all things" Ecc1estiastes 10:19. If money is evil, it cannot be mentioned in this way in the scripture.

Improper attitude towards money is dangerous
Though electricity is good and pleasurable, but, it can also harm, money can be harmful and thus, bring sorrow to you. If you develop an attitude of holding up, you will be sorrowful. Un-utilization of money causes sorrow. See what Jesus says; ‘If thou wilt be perfect, go and .ell that thou hast, and give to 'he poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me" Matthew 19:21,

God’s will is for you to have money
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper..." 3 John 2
God wants you to be fulfilled and full of good things of life. He knows that without it people will despise you and you will not be honoured, The preacher says again; 'Then said I, wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom i8 despised, and his words are not heard" Ecclesiastes 9:16. If you are poor, your wisdom will be despised and God does not want this for you.

You can increase your money level
"But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time houses, ... lands... and world to come eternal life" Mark 10:30. Even now, in this time, you can increase an hundredfold. This is what Jesus says. Whatever level you can yourself monetarily, the word says, you can increase hundredfold because when "you sow sparingly, you shall reap sparingly and he who sows bountifully shall reap bountifully" Thus the antidote for money is to give and it shall be given to you.

Money is a spiritual subject
Money alone carries 20% of the scripture. The scripture in analysing the issue of money says; "...money is a defence... " Ecclesiastes 7:12. Money is a defence just as wisdom is a defence. Money is a subject that affects everyone, even the kingdom. Jesus with all His busy schedule talks about money and have time for money matter; And Jesus sat over the treasury..." Mark 12:41.Beloved, money is a spiritual subject just as healing, salvation, divine health and the like. It also attracts spiritual commendation. Thus, your giving has to be spiritually inclined, before it can receive any' instantaneous miracle just as the widow in Jesus' time;
"For all they did cast in of their abundance: but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living" Mark 12:44.

Give and expect to receive
Many people drop offering as if they are helping God. He is the Omnipotent. You are too small to help Him. He is never in need. If you want money, give in obedience to His word "give and it shall be given to you (Luke 6:38) When you give, expect to receive. The scripture says, "... Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" Galatians 6:7'.Thus, you need to sow what you need. If you.' sow prayer, you will reap prayer, thus, if you need a financial breakthrough, sow money. If . you have no money, there is something of monetary value in your possession, sow it and you shall have your desire met. Beloved, with these seven keys you must be in control of money. Money should not control you again in Jesus name.

CONNECTING HEAVENLY WEALTH - Bishop David Oyedepo

From Revelation 21:10, “And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.”
Heaven is a place of unfathomable wealth. It is a place of unthinkable prosperity. That is why we are told that the foundation of the walls was laid with the most precious stones and even the walls themselves were made of choice precious stones. Then the streets were paved with gold.
So, how does it look like in Heaven? It is a place of unusual splendour, a place of unimaginable wealth. Heaven is a place of supernatural dimensions of wealth.

I was walking on the streets of Oral Roberts University someday in August 1987. And looking at what God has done there, I knew that God is in command of wealth. Then after one of those meetings, as the worship session ended, the Lord spoke to me clearly, “My son, get down home and make my people rich.” That is why I know that I am a messenger of God’s kind of prosperity and I am going to show you how to connect this dimension of wealth.

As was mentioned earlier, you and I were in earthly places before Jesus came. And as long as you are on this earth you are a candidate for the poverty that indwells the earth. For it is written, “…..the poor shall never cease out of the land….” (Deut. 15:11). So this earth is the dwelling place of the poor. But when Jesus came, He said, “This is not where you belong originally, come with Me to your actual place. “Then He took you from the earthly places and sat you down in the heavenly places where poverty cannot come.

What is obtainable in Heaven? The Bible describes it as pleasures forever more not pressures. Meaning that God has no plan for pressures for you rather He has concluded all arrangements for you to enter into unending pleasure.

God’s word says in 2 Corinthians 8:9, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
That is God’s programme. Wealth is part and parcel of redemption. Jesus came down here, suffered lack that we through His poverty might be made rich. That lack we are talking about is of course in comparison to His heavenly glory, because of the dimension of wealth. The dimension of wealth Jesus operated even while on earth is still a great deal more than what some Christians may ever live to have.

Font you know that He never begged for money from anyone all through His earthly ministry – not even once? When they were going to crucify Him, they could not distinguish between Him and His disciples, because they were all gorgeously arrayed.

He always moved about in a convoy – He had a ship and other little ships with Him. When He needed to spend time alone with His disciples, it was the upper room that was prepared for Him. He had everything, yet the Bible says it was poverty compared to His riches in glory. As soon as He started ministry, He had a treasurer who was even a thief, yet there was no lack. That is a dimension of wealth that no earthly circumstance can have a hold on. That is where God is bringing you.
You are now in Heavenly places, why must you be a victim of earthly sufferings?

YOU NEED KNOWLEDGE
There is a prophetic parable narrated in Isaiah 5:1-13. We are told that the Lord God planted a vineyard on a most fruitful hill, He fenced it, took care of it and planted in it the choicest vine. Then He waited for it to bring forth fruits and instead of good fruits it brought forth negative fruits. And in exasperation He asked:

“And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard. What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?”
- Isaiah 5:3-4

That’s redemption in a picture, just as God planted the vineyard, cleared it for all debris, planted the choicest vine in it and fenced it to ward of trespassers, redeption covers your soul, your body, your social life, etc That is, your soul is saved, your body is free from sickness, you’re protected and provided for. It’s all in one package (Psalm 103:1-5). Even though you are planted on a most fruitful hill, you still need a working knowledge of the truth to enjoy that comprehensive redemption package.

“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.”- Isaiah 5:13

The destiny of His people is most colourful, their heritage is most enviable, but they’ve gone into captivity because they lack knowledge. That is the case with many believers today. They do not understand God’s provision for their enrichment. But by strength shall no man prevail.

Human effort can provide some dimension of wealth, but true explosive wealth cannot be accessed by human effort. Look at Solomon for instance, God blessed him with a dimension of wealth that could only be described as Heavenly. Yet Jesus said he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than Solomon.
So, potentially you are to command great dimensions of wealth than even Solomon. Yet the potentials you carry are not enough, you have to make a conscious discovery and begin to walk in the consciousness of that discovery. You won’t carry your redemptive potentials to the grave.

WHY WILL GOD PROSPER YOU?
Three reasons stand out clearly as the reason God has programmed to prosper you:

• He wants you to enjoy living (I Tim 6:17)
• Your prosperity is a tool for the accomplishment of the Great Commission (Haggai 2:6-8)
• Wealth is a major sickle in bringing in the endtime harvest (Zech. 8:16-23).

THE ALL-TIME ACCESS
There is no amount of human effort that can attain to the order of wealth we are talking about. It takes supernatural empowerment to walk in this dimension of heavenly wealth. And it is walking in the covenant that empowers you for heavenly wealth.

“But thou shall remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
- Deuteronomy 8:18

God blesses people to make them a blessing. Until you are prepared to be a blessing, you are not a candidate for blessings. Giving is no gimmicks, it is covenant walk. And when you’re walking in that covenant, you’re committing God to bless you. This is how to enjoy heavenly wealth. This is your time!

Understanding The Blessings Of God- Femi Kehinde

Understanding the purpose of a thing helps one to maximize the benefit thereof. God wants His children to prosper, but why? What is the purpose of His blessings? Myles Munroe once said, “When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.”

If you don’t understand the blessing of God, there is the tendency for you not to be committed to what makes people to prosper. You may therefore not be able to commit yourself to covenant demands of prosperity. If by any form of mercy, you see something that looks like prosperity, you may abuse it. So, it is essential that we know why and how God blesses His children.

Why God Blesses?

Femi Kehinde
1. You are blessed essentially to be a blessing. You never get blessed any more than you are committed to be a blessing. Abraham was not only blessed, all the generations after him were blessed. Gen. 12:1-3. He had not just prosperity but prosperity with posterity.

So, you are not blessed to be an accumulator; you are blessed to be a distributor. You are not blessed to be a collector rather to be a channel of blessing.

2. To establish His covenant. Ps. 89:34. God gives us power to get wealth in order to establish His covenant as clearly spelt out in Deuteronomy 28:1-14. (Deut. 8:18).

3. To rescue us from shame. Joel 2:23-27. God’s blessings not only make us rich, they rescue us from shame. When you connect with God’s blessings, shame will bow out of your life.

4. To be a promoter of His kingdom. Hag. 1:5. The level you are committed to promoting His kingdom will determine the level to which He will ever bless you.

5. God blesses us so we can enjoy life. Deut. 8:18. God’s ultimate plan for us is to enjoy life more abundantly. That is, to enjoy all-round multiplication, living in godly houses, enjoying life and not enduring life.

How God Blesses His People

1. Through priestly or prophetic blessings. Num. 6:22-27. Abraham the blessed was a product of priestly blessings. Even though God made the promise to Abraham, He needed to bring him under the priestly blessing of Melchizedek. Gen. 14:18-19.

2. Through rain of divine ideas. Every empire is built on an idea. Access to inspired ideas is key to building a financial empire. Mal. 34:10; Gen. 7:11. Abraham built the first cattle ranch through inspired ideas. Gen. 30:37.

3. God blesses through parental blessings. Gen. 27:2-4, 27-29. God has reserved blessings in our parents for us. For instance, Joseph had a blessing of his father on him, which kept him alive and made him indestructible. All you need to do therefore is to maintain the position of a son or daughter to benefit from parental blessings. Parents here could be either biological or spiritual.

4. Through rain of divine favour. Favour is the cure to emptiness. It is the master key to a world of fortune. The first financial fortune recorded in the scripture came via divine favour. Ex. 12:13. It was a supernatural wealth transfer through the channel of divine favour. Giving is one of the way to provoke favour. Ps. 45:12.

5. God blesses us through the works of our hands. The blessing of God on the works of your hands is one of the channels He engages in unleashing His financial blessing on your life. When the blessing of God is upon your life, it readily shows. Jesus is Lord!
