Thousands Gather to Memorialize Myles Munroe
Thousands celebrated Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife, Ruth, two influential leaders in Christianity being laid to rest Thursday in a state-recognized funeral in the Bahamas.
The funeral came nearly a month after the couple died in a plane crash along with eight others from their church Bahamas Faith Ministries.
Bahamas Prime Minister Perry Christie called Dr. Myles Munroe "indisputably one of the most globally recognizable religious figures our nation has ever produced."
The story of that rise to prominence is incredible. He was born to poor parents in 1954 and is one of 11 children.

The British government has debunked the speculations
that it is currently investigating Living Faith Church, famously known as
Winners Chapel International, a church founded by Dr. David Oyedepo.
According to spokeswoman for the commission, the CC
was only considering the financial information provided by the church.
The CC is an organisation that registers eligible
organisations in England and Wales that are established for only charitable
purposes.

Pastor’s Stolen Bible Lands Robbery Suspects In Police Net
A bible found with a robbery suspect has led to the arrest of five others by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command. The holy book in question was said to have been found with 32-year-old Monday Patrick, leading to the arrest of five other suspected members of a robbery gang, namely Adeagbo Michael, Ismaila Kareem a.k.a. Asmuo, Odu John, Nwoke Promise and Ifeoluwa Coker.
A police source told our correspondent that the owner of the bible, Pastor Adesoye Zaccheaus of Unity Estate, Igando, Lagos had reported to the police that as he was driving his car into his compound at about 8 pm on May 26, he was accosted by two armed men who forced him to move to the back seat before driving off to the road that leads to the Lagos State University. Father Beats Homosexual Man Caught Raping 11-Year-Old
Frolander |
The father of an 11-year-old boy recently beat a homosexual man senseless before calling police when he allegedly found the man in the act of sexually molesting his son.
The father, who has not been named, arrived home to find that his son’s 18-year-old babysitter, Raymond Frolander, was in bed with his child. He then beat Frolander severely and dragged him out to the living room before 911.
“I just walked in on a grown man molesting [my son],” the father states in recorded 911 audio footage. “And I got him in a bloody puddle for you, officer.”
“Did you use any weapons?” the dispatcher asked.
“My foot and my fist,” the father replied. “I didn’t proceed to ask him any questions, sir. He is nice and knocked out on the floor for you. I drug him out to the living room. He stood up and his pants were around his ankles and nothing else needed to be said. I did whatever I got a right to do, except I didn’t kill him. Send an ambulance. He is going to need one.”

ENGAGING THE MYSTERY OF FAITH!- Bishop David Oyedepo
Holding the mystery of faith in a pure conscience (1 Timothy 3:9)
Understanding the mystery of faith is the greatest discovery in our adventure as believers. This is because faith is an unstoppable force in the realm of the Spirit and whatever cannot stop God cannot stop faith from having its way. Furthermore, what faith does is to tap into the power of God to deliver our desires.
Hitherto, we have been looking at the subject Unveiling the Mystery of Faith and have examined some definitions of faith, why faith is a mystery and the channels through which we build our faith. This week, we shall be examining how to engage the mystery of faith.

Miraculously Healed Muslim Lays Down Life for Christ
The blisters were growing beyond an inch in
diameter, spreading from the side of his face, down his neck and onto his
shoulder. His ear was so deformed it was hanging down to his shoulder. And the
thermometer reading screamed 107.6. He was .4 degrees from death.
It was October 1987 when he was diagnosed with
what Canada's Toronto General Hospital called the worst case of shingles in the
hospital's history. There was no cure. His first million dollars in business
profits could offer him little hope now. At age 34, Muslim businessman Nasir
Siddiki lay on his deathbed. Doctors were ready to report his death come
morning.
Nearly 24 years later, Siddiki sits across
from me in Charisma Media's editorial library, teal eyes shining with passion,
as he recalls the night he cried out to Muhammad—and the only answer was
silence.
"I knew what was on the other side of
death was fearful, but I didn't know what it was," recalls Siddiki.
In the midst of silence and fear, Siddiki
remembered the numerous healing stories of the prophet Jesus. "In
desperation I cried out, 'God if you're real, don't let me die.'"
When it seemed as though the night couldn't
get any darker, a light entered the hospital room.
"It was the outline of a person. I
couldn't see the facial features because there was so much light shining from
this person," describes Siddiki. "This person spoke without opening
their mouth ... He said, 'I am the God of the Christians.' and He said, 'I am
the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.'"
Hailing from the line of Ismael, Muslims
recognize Abraham as the father, but do not recognize the line of Isaac.
When the figure spoke, claiming to be the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
Siddiki was able to identify the glow.
"It was Jesus Christ," affirms
Siddiki, undoubtedly.
Siddiki holds up a photo showing the intensity
of the shingles he endured. He has clearly been healed. The differences are
evident. The blisters are gone. His ear is perfectly formed. His complexion is
olive, smooth and scar-less. His hair has grayed. But there is more. The most
significant difference is not physical, yet it is exceptionally visible.
Siddiki is now a Christian.
His new heart in Christ is obvious through his
glowing smile and his gracious words. It is clear that this man, who had
followed seven generations of Sunni Muslims, beginning with Abu Bakr Siddiq,
Muhammad's closest friend and Islam's first Caliph, has been made new by the
healing power of Jesus Christ.
Doctors searched for the answer as to why this
man with a battered immune system had inch-wide blisters that, overnight, had
entered a remissive state.
"I tried to tell them His name was Jesus
but of course they didn't believe me ... And this big question I had is, 'Is
this Jesus really the Son of God the way the Christians claim or is He just a
prophet the way I was brought up all my life?'"
Siddiki was released from the hospital the
next day. The following morning another miracle occurred—one Siddiki says
proves the deep love and mercy of Jesus Christ.
"I remember Sunday morning I woke up at 6
o'clock in the morning, walked over to the television—I don't know why I did
that—turned on the television and right on the screen it said, 'Is Jesus the
Son of God?' Coincidence? I don't think so ... Alone in my living room ... in
front of the television set in tears I asked Jesus to be the Lord of my life
... The fact that He would heal a Muslim on a Friday and save him on a Sunday
talks about how great His love and His mercy is."
"He does love the Muslims and He did die
for the Muslims," Siddiki continues. "God so loved the world and that
includes everybody and Jesus died for everybody."
Siddiki looks to his personal testimony to
find hope for those involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict within the
Middle East. He says those in battle are blinded, they are being misguided, and
they are being deceived. Siddiki himself spent 34 years in a blind state,
walked an ungodly path and was continually deceived by worldviews. Yet, God
sought Siddiki to be a worker in His field. And he says God is seeking out more
laborers. “The Muslim nations are his harvest. These are people Jesus died
for.”
Siddiki feels Christians are called to help in
the current circumstances within the Middle East.
“We need to love all Muslims,” he adds. “They
really are good people, they just are misled. They are just deceived. We have
the greatest weapon on planet earth and the universe—it's called the weapon of
love. The Bible says love actually never fails and that's an incredible
statement that means that love has to win in every situation.
"We don't win Muslims by debating with
them, by arguing with them ... none of that will win Muslims over to
Christ," Siddiki explains. "But we will win them with that love of
Jesus. And even when they persecute us and we respond with love they have a
very difficult time understanding that response. 'How can we persecute you and
you love us?' And that's what will break down the barriers and the walls.”
Though Christian love will win in every
situation, Siddiki says prayer will have dominant influence, for prayer
literally gives God legal entry into any situation.
“The Muslims, radicals, the terrorists have
been blinded by the god of this world ... and because they have been blinded,
they don't really see the truth. And so the first thing we need to do is to
pray for those scales to come down. Three times the apostle Paul prayed for
wisdom for other people. So we pray for wisdom for those in leadership in these
Islamic nations, that they will make the right choice. The Bible says the
king's heart is in the hand of the Father and He can turn it which way He
pleases.”

California Allows First-Ever State Recognized Human-Animal Marriage
San Francisco, CA — On Monday history was made at
the Chapel of Our Lady at the
Presidio in San
Francisco as the first-ever state recognized human-animal marriage took place.
Local resident 35-year-old Paul Horner was the groom
during the ceremony. Joining him was his faithful dog Mac who is 36-years-old
in dog years. Mac also decided to be the groom but ended up wearing a white
veil at the last moment.
Father McHale who officiated the outdoor wedding
told reporters he was extremely happy to be a part of this joyous moment of
life. “This is the definition of true love my friends. There is nothing more
sacred than the bond between a man and his faithful dog,” McHale said. “Now,
since it is recognized as a legally binding marriage in the state of
California, Mr. Horner and Mac will have all the same tax benefits and
everything else coming to them that a regular married couple would receive.
It’s a fantastic day to be alive!”
So how could this have happened?
In the book of California’s State Laws and
Regulations there is a little known law that was passed as the state was first
forming in 1850. According to article 155, paragraph 10, it clearly states:
If a man and a man can get married and a woman and a woman can get
married, if ever comes that day, then a human and animal will have the exact
same rights to marriage in every eye of the law. God help us if this ever is to
happen!
In attendance was
Horner’s entire family who flew in from Hawaii to witness the event. Mac had
her puppies on hand and making a special celebrity appearance was Alex from Stroh’s and Spuds Mckenzie.
“I just love my Mac so much, I can’t wait till we
can finally get back to the honeymoon sweet in Montana where bestiality is
legal. Gosh, get with the times California! We can marry here just fine, but
love making is a big no-no,” said Horner. “People keep asking me why I wanted
to marry a dog. I told them I just want the same god given rights that every
person in California is allowed to have. Don’t tell me I can’t marry my dog. I
don’t tell you that you can’t marry a 500 lb woman with gas issues. That’s your
decision. Don’t tread on me. I love my dog and I know he loves me a hundred
times more than any gay wedding out there.”
With this wedding between a man and a male dog now
on the books, one can only ask what is in store next?
A man marrying a toaster? A toaster marrying a dog?
A toaster marrying a toaster?
America, what happened to the sanctity of marriage?
Tsk. Tsk.
Noah's Ark Has Been Found. Why Are They Keeping Us In The Dark?
I'm often amazed at
our lack of knowledge about history. Ordinary people are hungry for this
information, yet the organizations responsible to disseminate these facts seem
to have an agenda to keep us in the dark. This is especially true when it comes
to our ancient human history.
I won't hold you in
suspense with this article: The Ark of Noah has been found. It's real. I'll
describe the evidence in some detail and end with the historical and religious
implications.
How It Was Discovered
In 1959, Turkish army
captain Llhan Durupinar discovered an unusual shape while examining aerial
photographs of his country. The smooth shape, larger than a football field,
stood out from the rough and rocky terrain at an altitude of 6,300 feet near
the Turkish border with Iran.
Capt. Durupinar was
familiar with the biblical accounts of the Ark and its association with Mount
Ararat in Turkey, but he was reluctant to jump to any conclusions. The region
was very remote, yet it was inhabited with small villages. No previous reports
of an object this odd had been made before. So he forwarded the photographic
negative to a famous aerial photography expert named Dr. Brandenburger, at Ohio
State University.
Brandenburger was
responsible for discovering the Cuban missile bases during the Kennedy era from
reconnaissance photos, and after carefully studying the photo, he concluded:
"I have no doubt at all, that this object is a ship. In my entire career,
I have never seen an object like this on a stereo photo."
In 1960 the picture [above] was published in LIFE magazine under the
heading of Noahs Ark? That
same year a group of Americans accompanied Capt. Durupinar to the site for a
day and a half. They were expecting to find artifacts on the surface or
something that would be unquestionably related to a ship of some kind. They did
some digging in the area but found nothing conclusive and announced to the
anxiously waiting world that it appeared to be a natural formation.
Most of the global
media turned away from the find and it became a non-story.
In 1977 Ron Wyatt
visited the site. Obtaining official permission, Ron and others conducted more
thorough research over a period of several years. They used metal detection
surveys, subsurface radar scans, and chemical analysis -- real science -- and
their findings were startling. The evidence was undeniable. This was the Ark of
Noah.
The Visual Evidence
The first part of the
survey was to examine the object and take its measurements. The shape looked
like hull of a ship. One end was pointed as you would expect from bow [below: D] and the opposite end was blunt like a stern.
The distance from bow to stern was 515 feet, or exactly 300 Egyptian cubits.
The average width was 50 cubits. These were the exact measurements mentioned in
the Bible.
On the starboard side
(right) near the stern there were four vertical bulges protruding from the mud
[B], at regular intervals, that were determined
to be the "ribs" of the hull [see below]. Opposite to these, on the port side, a single rib [A] protrudes from the mud. You can see its
curved shape very clearly. Surrounding it are more ribs, still largely buried
in the mud, but visible upon close examination.
Remember that this
object, if it is the Ark, is extremely old. The wood has been petrified.
Organic matter has been replaced by minerals from the earth. Only the shapes
and traces of the original wood remain. Perhaps this is why the expedition in
1960 was disappointed. They anticipated finding and retrieving chucks of wood,
long since eroded.
From the position of
the object in the middle of an obvious mud flow, it is obvious that the object
slid down more than a mile from its original location. Geologists believe it
was originally over 1000 feet higher in the mountain and encased in a shell of hardened
mud. They think that an earthquake in 1948 cracked the mud shell and revealed
the structure. This is confirmed by stories from the surrounding villagers who
tell of its "sudden appearance" around that time.
Biblical accounts of
the Ark describe it as having as many as six levels. The assumed shape of the
Ark seems consistent with the bulge [C] in the middle of the object. In fact, as we will soon learn,
radar scans of the structure suggest that this bulge is the collapsed debris of
these levels.
Although most people
think of the Ark as being rectangular, that only applies to the top decks. The
sleek shape of the hull is necessary to enable the huge ship to remain stable
in the water and survive tremendous waves.
Ground Penetrating Radar
The human eye needs to
see reflected light to recognize an object. To visualize what remains below the
earth, scientists use microwaves which can penetrate the ground and bounce back
when they hit something solid. This technique is commonly used to locate oil
and other minerals. Called Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), the apparatus us
made from an antenna that transmits, then listens to receive the
"echo" and prints the result on a piece of paper. The delay and
strength of this echo tell the geologists how solid and at what depth the
objects are under the earth.
The team of geologists
didn't scan the entire object. Instead, they marked out lines that crossed the
object with yellow tape. Then they dragged the antenna (about the size of a lawnmower)
over the lines and watched the output on the paper recorder. When they got a
strong "hit" -- meaning there was something solid underneath -- they
would record the position on the tape [above]. Later, when they made a map of the object, the tape and the
location of the "hits" they realized that there was indeed a
structure underneath the mud.
The radar cans
revealed this structure [above] under the mud. The
symmetry and logical placement of these objects shows that this is unmistakably
a man made structure, most likely the Ark of Noah.
Artifacts Retrieved From The Ark
Using the GPR, Ron
Wyatt discovered an open cavity on the starboard side. He used an improvised drill
to make core sample inside this cavity and retrieved several very interesting
objects. Below you can see the artifacts which were sent for laboratory
analysis. On the left is the bore hole [see below], followed by what turned out to be petrified animal dung, then
a petrified antler and lastly a piece of cat hair.
Perhaps the most
significant find from the Ark itself is a piece of petrified wood. When this
was first found it appeared to be a large beam. But upon closer examination it
is actually three pieces of plank that have been laminated together with some
kind of organic glue! This is the same technology used in modern plywood.
Lamination makes the total strength of the wood much greater than the combined
strength of the pieces. This suggests a knowledge of construction far beyond
anything we knew existed in the ancient world.
Examination reveals
the glue oozed from the layers. The outside of the wood appears to have been
coated with bitumen.
Even more surprising
were laboratory analyses which not only revealed that the petrified wood
contained carbon (proving it was once wood) but there were iron nails [above right] embedded in the wood!
We like to imagine
that humanity evolved in a neat sequence of eras, each named after the
technology that was discovered. We have the Stone Age (where man developed
arrows and stone tools), the Bronze Age (where metals were combined and heated
to make tools and household items) and lastly the Iron Age (where iron and
steel objects were made by heating iron ore and adding other material -- like
charcoal -- to strengthen it). The Iron Age is usually placed at 1200-1000 BC,
yet we have iron nails being used in this extremely old construction
But Wait... There's More!
The most surprising
find was discovered with sensitive metal detectors. The team located several
strong "hits" that, when dug up, revealed large disc shaped rivets.
From simple observation of the metal it was possible to see where the rivet had
been hammered after being inserted through a hole [below].
If rivets being used
in ancient construction doesn't impress you, this surely will.
An analysis of the
metal used to make the rivets revealed that they were a combination of iron
(8.38%), aluminum (8.35%) and titanium (1.59%). Remember these trace metals
have survived petrification and so do not indicate the exact content in the
original material. (see Report from Galbraith Labs)
We know the aluminum
was incorporated in the metallic mixture because it does not exist in metallic
form in nature. This implies an extremely advanced knowledge of metallurgy and
engineering. Characteristics of an iron-aluminum alloy have been investigated
in The Russian Chemical Bulletin (2005)
and reveal that this alloy forms a thin film of aluminum oxide which protects
the material from rust and corrosion. The addition of titanium would provide
added strength. This seems to have worked. The rivets have survived from
antiquity!
The Surrounding Areas
Several miles from the
location of the Ark, huge stones were discovered, some standing upright while
others lying on the ground. These stones, weighing many tons, have holes carved
in them. Scientists have determined that they were anchors and the holes would
have been their attachment to a ship with hemp rope.
Often these stones
will have crosses carved in them, from centuries ago when pilgrims made the
journey to visit the Ark. Yes, the Ark was well known in the Middle Ages and
even before. And its location was recorded in many historical documents.
"And the Ark
rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the
mountains of Ararat. And the waters decreased continually until the tenth
month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the
mountains seen." - Genesis 8:4-5
The Gilgamesh Epic
(650 BC) gives Mt. Nisir as the landing place of the Ark. The local name for
the town where the Ark was found is Nasar.
The annals of
Ashurnasurpal II of Assyria (833-859 BC) places it south of the Zab river
(correct).
Theophilus of Antioch
(115-185 AD) said the Ark could be seen in his day in the Arabian mountains.
Later Church Fathers also mention the Ark as late as the mid 7th century.
In the 13th century,
Willam, a traveler, stated for the first time that Mt. Masis was the Ark
location (present-day Mt. Ararat).
Ptolemy's Geographia
(1548) mentions the mountains of Armenia as the place of landing. So does the
traveler Nicolas de Nicolay (1558).
Pilgrims to the site
would gather bits and pieces of the petrified wood which would be used as
charms to ward off evil. When they encountered the anchors, they had no doubt
about their association with the Ark. They often carved one big cross to
represent Noah and smaller crosses representing his family.
The huge anchors would
have been suspended from the keel of the ship. This was a common practice among
ancient mariners to stabilize a heavy ship and ensure that the bow is always
facing the on-coming waves. A "top heavy" ship, such as the Ark,
could easily be capsized by a wave approaching from the side. This is yet
further proof that Noah's Ark was a reality and that it has indeed been found
in Turkey.

President Jonathan At Goshen City Says Nigeria Will Reach its Destination
President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday,
reiterated that despite the challenges facing the country in various facets,
the country will reach its destination of greatness.Speaking at a church service at the Goshen City, the Headquarters of the Winners Chapel, President Jonathan said what the Nigerian leaders need were prayers for them to lead the country aright.
He expressed the commitment of his
administration to do the right things at all times for the country.
The President stated: “I am not here to make a formal speech as we have learnt to talk very little, just like the Bishop said in his sermon, your prayers have been helpful.
I request that you continue to pray for this country. Bishop, thank you for your message, it has been very instructive.

I request that you continue to pray for this country. Bishop, thank you for your message, it has been very instructive.
”As I listened to your message certain things were being
reflected. I assure you this country will cross the bridge. Yes, we have
challenges as a nation. Even the most developed nations pass through stages
sometimes even more challenging than we face today. But what happened,
yesterday, (Saturday) in South Africa will be the story of this nation.
“Those of you who watched that match will know
that it is not easy at the beginning, it was as if Nigeria was going to be
demolished, but all of a sudden the young men came very strong and we won.
”That is how it will be with the story of this country! With your prayers and commitment we will get to the destination. The promised land has never been an easy one for any nation, it was not easy for the israelites and I promise that myself and my colleagues will continue to do what is right for this country.

“The bishop said it all that as mere mortals,
there may be errors, but our commitment to do what is right is total.
“We will do our best but like I always say whatever I do I should be able to tell God why I did it. All what we require is your prayers, and Nigeria will get to its destination,” the President said.
In his remarks, Bishop David Abioye commended President Jonathan for signing the Same-Sex Marriage Prohibition Act, saying it will serve as a good example to other African countries.

Armed Robbers Invade Nsukka Catholic Church In Search Of N100 Million And Gold
The arrow of God is no longer at ease and thing has fallen apart
in the house of God.
This aptly described how four armed robbers invaded the house of
God at St. Theresa’s Catholic Cathedral, Nsukka Enugu State for gold and
millions of Naira.
Crime guard gathered that the hoodlums allegedly armed with a
long gun and three shot pistols sneaked into the cathedral in the wee hours and
made straight to the Bishop’s residence, chop off window burglaries after tying
up three security men hands and legs and locked them up at the Bishop’s
Kitchen, ransacked the Bishop’s residence in search of over N100million and
gold Ornaments together with other valuables.
What could armed robbers be looking for in God’s house? The
robbers after cutting the windows and doors in the Bishop’s residence met
Rev.Fr. Eugene Odo secretary to the Bishop of Nsukka diocese and requested him
to bring out all the cash in the diocese that have not been lodged in the Bank.
The priest gently brought out the weeks collection and gave to them and the
shameless robbers and dullards said it was not the kind of money they are
looking for, The Priest allegedly swore to the heaven that the paltry sum was
the only available cash at that moment. The unsatisfied bandits ransacked all
the rooms at the Bishops court but could not find any other cash outside what
was given to them.
Angered by the poor cash, the robbers resort to property, took
the diocesan laptop where all activities programmers and history of the
dioceses were stored, also collected Rev. Fr. Eugene Odo’s private laptop, one
Ipad, palm top and his two hand sets and ordered the priest to take them to the
residence of the principal St. Theresa’s College (STC) Nsukka Rv. Fr.
Igwebueze.
Narrating his ordeal with robbers Rev. Fr. Eugene Odo said that
the experience was his most horrifying one ever as a priest, explaining that he
was fast asleep when the robbers entered the house as he worked late into the
night.
When the four armed robbers met me and requested me to give them
money, I only pointed to the Paltry amount available at the moment but they were
not satisfied and ransacked the entire place without any other cash found, they
took the diocesan laptop, my two handsets, I pad palm top, wrist watches,
digital camera and video camera. What pained me most was my computer solar bag
which serves as a generator. I bought the solar bag in Italy at the cost 200
euros.
I pleaded with the robbers not to take the diocesan laptop but
they questioned whether I was aware that they are armed robbers? I said yes I
know but at least for the sake of God they should drop the diocesan laptop, a
plea the robbers never obliged me. After much harassment, the robbers ordered
me to lead them to the residence of the Principal of STC, an order I equally
turned down as they would lead me out and kill me. It was at this juncture they
asked me to say my last prayer while of them pulled his trigger to fire me but
the alleged leader the four men gang asked him not to shoot.
They questioned whether I made any phone call across to the
police? I replied I did not know when they entered the compound, talkless of
reaching out to the police as I was alone in the Bishop’s residence.
Bishop emeritus Rt. Rv. DR. Francis Okobo has moved to his retirement home and
the new Bishop Rt. Rev. Prof. Godfrey Onah has not packed in to the Bishop’s
court due some renovation works on going at the residence.
It could be recalled that the Cathedral administrator on
Sunday preceding Tuesday the robbers invaded the
Cathedral had presented a balance sheet of the total income and
expenditure of the Cathedral for 2013 fiscal year ending December
31,2013 to the Cathedral congregation and announced the balance.
The robbers may have allegedly acting on information or may be at the church
when the statement of account for 2013 was announced, invaded the house of God
to cart away the amount announced in the church.
The Bishop’s secretary Rv. Fr. Odoh explained that he would not
say whether the robbers were actually looking for the Money announced in the
church Sunday before they struck on Tuesday but said that the highest
collection contained in the statement of account for 2013 was during the
Episcopal Ordination of the new Bishop of the diocese, others were from the
laity councils, CYON, CMO, CWO MOD among other groups.
After several hours when the robbers found out that there were
no other cash, they called me idiot and took me to the Bishop’s kitchen,
unlocked the kitchen and brought the three security man attached to St.
Theresa’s College (STC) Nsukka and forced them to lead them to the
principal’s residence and left me alone to my own mercy.
Crime guard gathered that the dare devils and agents of darkness
allegedly collected the principal’s laptop and an undisclosed amount of money
with other valuables despites the ill health condition of the Rev.Fr. Igwebueze
principal of the college. According to the earlier statement of Fr. Odoh the
robbers had asked him to bring out the women they heard their voices at the
point of entry into the residence.
But he swiftly replied, “What could a woman be doing in a priests
residence at the wee hours of their entry”, explaining that he was all alone in
the Bishop’s Court. He then asked them to go round again to see if any woman
was kept in any of the rooms. “I do not know what you want again”, he asked.
Fr. Odoh noted that both he and Fr Igwebueze next morning then
lodged the incident at both Nsukka police Area Command and the urban police
division, Nsukka, adding that both the Area Commander, Ros-Armson Haladu (ACD)
and the team stormed the scene of the incident and took inventory of damages
and items stolen.
BISHOP GODFREY ONAH
The catholic bishop of Nsukka diocese, Rt Rev. Prof Godfrey Onah
had in a homily at the cathedral asked the bandits that invaded the bishop’s
court to quietly return all the items they collected or face the option of the
wrath of God within few days. The bishop noted that the robbers should come to
him if they want him and should leave his priests alone, he warned.
Meanwhile, the Area Commander, Ros-Armson Haladu (ACP) has
assured to track down the robbers that invaded the Bishop’s residence, adding
he moved into action by drafting fierce detectives to unveil the circumstances
surrounding the incident at the Bishop’s residence and track down the alleged
fleeing robbers to face the wrath of law. Meanwhile no arrest has been made as
at the time of filling this report.
