The much awaited arrival of the General Overseer of the Redeemed
Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye got Calabar into a
frenzy yesterday after his arrival at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport,
Calabar in company of Church officials aboard a private aircraft.
Adeboye who was received at the airport by Governor Liyel Imoke
and his wife, Obioma, Deputy Governor and his wife, Gloria and former Cross
River 1st Lady Mrs. Onari Duke as well as the speaker of the State House of
Assembly and wife with members of the State Executive Council and the church
members in Calabar, began his visit with a special prayer that God should love
those who love Cross River State.
The airport was literally turned to a religious center as
different Christian denominations, including clergy men from Cross River, Akwa
Ibom, Rivers, Abia and Ebonyi State came to catch a glimpse of the highly
revered man of God, while others were struggling to receive a handshake.
The motorcade of the Redeem General Overseer caused prolonged
gridlock along IBB and Marian Road when the Pastor visited Governor Imoke’s
personal home for prayers.
At the Calabar International Convention Center where the
‘Man-of-God’ prayed for Imoke and Family, Cross River State and Nigeria,
Adeboye said:
“This project will be completed and profitable.
“It will be well with Cross River State, It will be well with
the people of Cross River State and it will be well with all the people that
love Cross River State.
“I command every evil and devilish spirit working against this
project to be cast out, in Jesus name I pray! And let someone shout Halleluyah!
Pastor Adeboye is in
Calabar for “Cross River Prays”, a program of the Redeemed Christian Church of
God tagged: Wind of Change.
